A Recording of:
Midwinter Greenery: Natural History, Folklore and Art
By Alys Fowler
9th December 2020
After many requests we have asked Alys back to lecture for us. Alys will continue with our Christmas theme for December by discussing Midwinter greenery in art and the continuity of life through the dark season. This will be a whistle stop tour of the natural history, folklore and customs of decorating our homes with evergreens. We will look at art ranging from Roman mosaics, watercolours by Durer and paintings by the Pre-Raphaelites. It will be an uplifting glow of light for us all as the festive season approaches.
Alys Fowler, renowned horticulturist, presenter and author has led highly successful garden trips for AHA for over 10 years.
