The 3-Layered Thoracolumbar Fascia in Best Form

Robert will delve into the following topics with you:

  • Being human: Why are the back muscles only marginally different between other primates and us humans? And why is this fundamentally different in relation to the fascia of the back?
  • Outer layer: Which exercises, and therapeutic treatment positions are recommended for the superficial layer of the thoracolumbar fascia?
  • Middle layer: Which ones for the second layer?
  • Deepest layer: And which ones for the innermost layer?
  • Flexion-relaxation response as a diagnostic tool: how can it be implemented in everyday life?
  • Three equally important pillars of back stability: centre, spine extensor muscles and thoracolumbar fascia? Surprising findings from the research front.
  • Reduced shear mobility between the back fascia: How reliable are the findings? Chicken or egg? And how can this be prevented and resolved?
  • Tight, stiff fascia: Densified hyaluronan or proliferating collagen fibres? Which solution strategies are the most promising in each case?
  • The proprioceptive back: Which tissues are probably less important than long assumed? And where is it the other way round?
  • Fascia fit in everyday life: Which everyday exercises are recommended for which fascial components?
Holistic strength and suppleness in the fascia of the back, along with kinaesthetic wakefulness, take centre stage in the resource-oriented integrative lesson that Karin invites you to join following Robert's lecture. Through a thoughtfully curated selection of exercises, she builds a bridge from theory to practice, fostering embodiment and enabling you to immediately derive somatic meaning and value from what you have learned.

Robert and Karin are looking forward to two vitalising hours with you!
