This is the complete WORKSHOP that puts in place the fundamentals of accounting and finance using a unique and intuitive visual framework. It then takes you to the next level by culminating in a case study that has you realize how far you have come.  This workshop is the complete package for the utmost discovery.  

By improving your team’s financial literacy, you will elevate the organization's performance by: 

  • Developing a deep understanding of the Balance Sheet
  • Deriving the Income Statement and understanding how it connects with the Balance Sheet

  • Understanding the Value Cycle of business

Course content

The Colour Accounting Learning System™ content lies at the heart of the training. Participants completing the course are able to analyze and use financial information confidently. The course covers the following:

  • Context and need for accounting
  • Accounting components, including the journal, general ledger and trial balance
  • Recording business transactions
  • Using financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
  • Interpreting the business story told by a set of accounts
  • Business acumen basics
  • Financial communication and pitfalls
  • Application of learning to case studies, topics of interest and current affairs
Your leader for this event, Stéphanie Descôteaux DFA-BSS, CPB, participated in a Colour Accounting System™ Workshop in 2010 and was immediately struck by how useful this would be for her clients. She has been a Sales Partner and a Certified Colour Accounting™ Leader since 2014. She founded Digits & Decimals Inc, a professional managerial accounting company in 2001, and Calculated Approach Consulting Inc, a business accounting coaching and training firm in 2011. Her passion has always been around educating her clients, improving their systems, and making sure they use the numbers she provides for them to be successful in their businesses.
