Join us for a study tour of Folkestone town centre and seafront to learn about the town's regeneration, and see world-class architecture and public realm projects.

Folkestone town centre offers a great case study of culture and place-based regeneration, with a thriving Creative Quarter, art trail and landmark public realm improvements. We will also learn about the council's innovative public engagement approaches and town centre transformation as part of the Levelling Up fund.

The event will begin at Folkestone & Hythe District Council's office for a round of short presentations to set the scene on the town centre and harbour regeneration. We will then head out on a 2-hour guided, including stops at:
  • F51 Skatepark

  • Creative Quarter

  • Folkestone Harbour

  • Walk along boardwalk and part of art trail

  • Shoreline Crescent, a new seafront residential development

  • Coastal Park
