About the Speaker
Chaya Sara Herman is a professional genealogist based in Brooklyn. Coming from a long line of immigrants to the United States, as a teenager she became passionate about tracing her own family roots back to modern-day Lithuania, England, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Poland and Russia. Her research has been featured in articles published in Mishpacha magazine since 2021, in both English and Hebrew editions. This year, she joined the team of genealogists at the Kalikow Jewish Genealogy Center located in the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
