Join Lisa Schneidau, storyteller, conservationist and author of Botanical Folk Tales of Britain and Ireland in conversation with Plantlife's CEO Ian Dunn. Explore Plantlife's conservation priorities through botanical folktales and hear excerpts from Lisa's book. A fascinating window into the world of conservation uncovering what we can learn from our past oral traditions and how this can inform our future.

Speakers: 

Lisa Schneidau is a storyteller, author and environmentalist who finds and tells stories that inspire, provoke curiosity and build stronger connections between people and nature. She originally trained as an ecologist and has worked in nature conservation for 20 years as a farm advisor, river surveyor, political lobbyist and conservation director. 

Ian Dunn joined Plantlife as Chief Executive in early 2020 after spending four years as Chief Operating Officer at the University of Southampton. Previously he was Chief Executive of the Galapagos Conservation Trust, on the managing board of the British Antarctic Survey and spent nearly 25 years in business. Ian is a qualified yoga teacher and enjoys nature oil painting and writing.
