Plantlife's Annual Members' Day
We would like to invite you to our free virtual Annual Members’ Day, taking place on Saturday 25 September 2021 between 10am and 12.45pm.
Although we are sad not to see you in person for another year, we are incredibly excited that by hosting the event online, more of our valued members will be able to attend than ever before.
There will be a series of talks in the morning followed by a panel discussion with guest speakers. Our speakers on the day will be:
Prof David Hill CBE, Plantlife Chairman and owner/founder of The Environment Bank Ltd, which he established to promote investment into nature and natural capital. David is also a founder member of Natural England and was its Deputy Chair for five years.

Ian is Deputy Chair of the Scottish Association of Marine Science and is Honorary Treasurer of the UK Antarctic Heritage. He is a qualified yoga teacher and is re-engaging with his creative side through oil painting and writing. Ian will present an overview of the last year, Plantlife’s successes and upcoming projects.
Philip Mould OBE, Plantlife’s President, is one of the country’s foremost authorities on British portraiture. Philip has published on art-related subjects, he is an author and regular broadcaster, reviewer and writer for the national press. His television work includes writing and presenting the Channel 4 series Changing Faces, co-presenting BBC1’s Fake or Fortune? and he is a regular expert on The Antiques Roadshow. Alastair has many years' experience managing nature reserves across the UK for the RSPB – most recently in North Wales - and he now manages a team of staff responsible for delivering conservation work in partnership with private landowners, managing our reserves and providing advice.
The series of talks will be followed by a panel discussion with a selection of guest-speakers who will each deliver a short talk, exploring the future of nature conservation and what conservation will look like in 10 years’ time. We will be joined by:
Gill Perkins, CEO Bumblebee Conservation Trust
Julie Williams, CEO Butterfly Conservation
Lucinda Lay from the Sustainability Team at Mitie
Jenny Dadd, Funding Manager, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
