Plants have never stopped defying urbanisation. They break through cracks in pavement, embellish city parks and colourfully adorn walls and buildings. Leading botanist Trevor Dines investigates these determined plants ahead of the launch of his upcoming book Urban Plants. Find out how they arrived, how they survive and how some have defied the odds to populate our streets.

This talk is being led by:

Sarah Shuttleworth- Specialist Botanical Advisor An experienced field botanist with over 17 years of experience. Passionate about teaching botany, using creative ways to engage and inspire wildflower and fungi enthusiasts. Sarah’s favourite wildflower is the Bee Orchid.

Trevor Dines- Trevor Dines is a passionate botanist, conservationist, lecturer, and author. He worked for Plantlife for over 20 years and now writes and consults extensively while managing his smallholding in Wales.

At the end of the talk there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

This talk will be recorded and a link to the recording will be sent, a few days after the talk, to all those who register to attend.

This event is free of charge, but there is an option to make a donation if you wish to.

Many thanks
