Michelangelo saw himself primarily as a sculptor, and produced a wide range of independent works. In part 1 of today's talk we will look at them all - in more or less depth as the time allows - before going on in part 2 to look at the project which spread across most of his career, with a case study dedicated to the Tomb of Julius II.
