Esta ponencia aborda la importancia de fortalecer las redes de cuidado perinatal como una estrategia esencial para promover nacimientos saludables, acompañados y humanizados. Desde la mirada del cuidado de enfermería y el trabajo articulado entre instituciones de salud, comunidad y familia, se propone visibilizar el papel activo del padre o pareja como figura fundamental en el proceso de gestación, parto y puerperio.
La reflexión central invita a reconocer que el cuidado perinatal es una responsabilidad compartida, donde la participación afectiva y activa del padre o pareja contribuye significativamente al bienestar físico y emocional de la mujer, del recién nacido y de la familia. De esta manera, se promueve una cultura de cuidado más equitativa, amorosa e intercultural, centrada en la dignidad y el respeto por la vida.
This presentation addresses the importance of strengthening perinatal care networks as an essential strategy for promoting healthy, supported, and humanized births. From the perspective of nursing care and the collaborative work between health institutions, the community, and the family, it aims to highlight the active role of the father or partner as a fundamental figure in the pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum period.
The central reflection encourages us to recognize that perinatal care is a shared responsibility, where the affective and active participation of the father or partner significantly contributes to the physical and emotional well-being of the woman, the newborn, and the family. In this way, a more equitable, loving, and intercultural culture of care is promoted, centered on dignity and respect for life.
