As the summer sun beats down upon us, join Rose for a fascinating insight into the power of the sun in art.

Featuring Melissa Alder, Royal Opera House soprano.

For millennia, the sun has played a vital role in the story of art. In the ancient world, across cultures and societies, the sun was a deity that ruled supreme. Through to this day, its power still endures, as the ultimate designer of our fortunes - growth or decline, life or death.

Alongside looking at neolithic artists and architects, Rose will consider J.M.W Turner, Monet, and Olafur Eliasson as she explores the emotional, spiritual and physical power this most awesome of planets has held on us across time and place.

Ticket price includes food and drinks by LoLo House – substantial canapés (you will not need to eat before or after), mocktails and other drinks. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Programme:

6.30pm Guests arrive for initial canapés and drinks

7.15pm Cultural programme begins

8.30pm Further drinks and canapés, through until whenever you want to leave! We have the venue to ourselves until 10pm.
