No One Told Me There Would Be Math: DNA Numbers Made Easy
Traditional genealogy is about records, family stories, and history; genetic genealogy, on the other hand, is about math. But don’t be afraid! This lecture will take a kinder, gentler approach to the math behind ethnicity estimates, DNA matches, the What Are the Odds tool, BanyanDNA, and Time Trees. The goal is not to make you do the math but to help you understand what the math is doing for you, so you can interpret your results with confidence.
You will have opportunities to ask questions during and after the talk. Attendance is limited to 50 participants. Registered participants will have access to the recording for 2 weeks. Captioning available, and a handout is included.
